Connect Your Accounting Software
Monitr pulls financial data from your accounting software through integrations. Most integrations use OAuth — you authorise Monitr once, and it fetches data automatically on a scheduled basis.

How to connect an integration during onboarding
- On the first integration step of organisation onboarding, select your accounting software from the list.
- Click Connect — you'll be redirected to your provider's login page.
- Authorise Monitr to access your data.
- You're returned to Monitr with the connection active.
- Monitr immediately fetches the list of available entities (administrations) from your accounting software.
- Proceed to the next step to select which entities to import.
CSV Import is not available as a first-step integration during onboarding. After you complete setup and reach your dashboard, you can add CSV Import or other integrations from Integrations in the sidebar.
How to connect an integration after onboarding
- In the sidebar, go to Integrations.
- Select the integration type you need (Bookkeeping, CRM, Subscriptions, etc.).
- Click the appropriate button to add a new integration.
- Follow the provider's authentication flow.
- Once connected, the integration appears in your list and can be linked to entities.
Entities and integrations
During onboarding, after connecting an integration, you select which entities (companies/administrations) to import from it. Each entity imports from its primary accounting integration.
After onboarding, you can:
- Link a different accounting integration to an entity from Entities → [Entity] → Settings.
- Add additional integrations (e.g. Stripe for recurring revenue) from Integrations.
Scheduled imports
Once connected, Monitr runs automatic imports on a nightly schedule (twice per night). You can also trigger a manual import from the Entities page at any time.
Import status is visible per entity: Waiting, In Progress, Succeeded, or Failed. If an import fails, check the entity's integration credentials and try again.
OAuth tokens can expire or be revoked. If imports start failing, go to Integrations and reconnect the affected integration. You may need to re-authorise with your accounting provider.
