The Mapping & Report Builder, Rebuilt from Scratch

We've completely redesigned two of Monitr's most-used features: Account Mapping and the Report Builder. Both have been rebuilt with a focus on speed, clarity, and ease of use.

Account Mapping — What Changed​

The mapping interface has been overhauled:

  • Cleaner tree layout — the reporting structure tree is easier to read, with better visual hierarchy between parent and child nodes
  • Faster search — find unmapped accounts instantly with improved filtering
  • Inline actions — add, edit, and remove mappings without leaving the context of the tree
  • Progress indicators — see at a glance how many accounts are mapped vs. unmapped per branch
  • Smart Mapping improvements — AI-powered suggestions are now surfaced more prominently with clearer confidence indicators

Report Builder — What Changed​

The report builder has been redesigned to feel more like a live document editor:

  • Real-time preview — changes to your reporting structure are reflected in the preview instantly
  • Drag-and-drop reordering — rearrange rows and sections by dragging them to the desired position
  • Improved group management — creating, renaming, and nesting groups is now a single-step action
  • Keyboard shortcuts — power users can now navigate and edit entirely from the keyboard

Performance​

Both tools have been re-engineered for entities with large charts of accounts. Loading and saving times are significantly faster, especially for structures with hundreds of accounts or reporting lines.

How to Access​

Go to Setup → Account Mapping or Setup → Reporting Structures in the Monitr sidebar. The new interfaces are live for all users — no migration needed.
