Trial period
New organisations start on a free trial that includes all Premium features. The trial runs for a set period (shown on the Billing page). After the trial expires, you're moved to Lite unless you upgrade.
Managing your subscription
From the Billing page, you can manage your subscription and payment details. The available options depend on whether your organisation is paying for its own subscription or if another organisation is covering the cost.
If your organisation is paying for itself
If your organisation is the one paying for its own Monitr subscription, you will see the following options:
- Go to Customer Portal: Click this button to open the customer portal in a new tab. Here you can update your payment method, view and download past invoices, and change the billing email.
- Upgrade to Premium / Downgrade to Lite: Click this button to change your subscription tier. If you are on Lite, the button will say "Upgrade to Premium" (Diamond icon). If you are on Premium, it will say "Downgrade to Lite" (Down arrow icon).
If another organisation is paying for your organisation
If another organisation is covering the cost of your Monitr subscription, you will see the name of the Paying Organisation. You will not see options to manage payment details directly. To manage the subscription, you must contact an administrator of the paying organisation.
To remove your organisation from being paid for by another organisation:
- Click the Delete (trash can) icon next to the paying organisation name.
- A confirmation dialog will appear. Click Confirm to proceed. Your organisation's subscription will revert to its own payment information.
Managing other organisations within your subscription
If your organisation is paying for other organisations, you can manage them from the Organisations within subscription section.
- Change subscription tier for a linked organisation: For each organisation listed, you will see a button to either "Upgrade to Premium" (Diamond icon) or "Downgrade to Lite" (Down arrow icon). Click this button to change their subscription tier.
- Remove a linked organisation: Click the Delete (trash can) icon in the row of the organisation you wish to remove.
- Add an organisation to your subscription: Click the Add (plus) icon at the bottom of the list to open a modal where you can select other organisations to include in your subscription. You must have write permissions for both your organisation and the organisation you wish to add.
What happens when a subscription expires
If a subscription payment fails or the trial expires without upgrading:
- Reports and dashboards remain accessible (read-only)
- Imports stop running
- Forecasting features are locked for new edits
- A billing redirect appears when trying to access locked features
Renewing the subscription re-enables all features immediately.
