Odoo Online

To connect Odoo to Monitr, the following information from your Odoo environment is required:

  • Database URL
  • Database name
  • Username
  • Password

Note that, most probably, your current Odoo password will not work to create the integration, as is explained in the Odoo docs here.

Update Password​

The following steps describe how an Odoo admin can create an instance-specific password for the user that makes the connection with Monitr.

  1. Log in to your Odoo environment with an administrator account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  1. Go to Users & Companies > Users.
  1. Click on the user that has to create the connection with Monitr.
  1. Click on Action and select Change Password.
  1. Set a new password, then click Change Password.

Connect Odoo with Monitr​

Go to the integrations page and click on Add in the Odoo card.

Fill in the required information and click Continue.

  • Odoo Database URL: The URL you use to navigate to your Odoo environment.
  • Odoo Database Name: The name of the database in Odoo.
  • Odoo Username: The username used to login to Odoo.
  • Odoo Password: The new password, created by your admin using the steps above.

If you have multiple entities connected to your credentials, we will show you an entity selection screen where you can decide which entities you want to import and use in Monitr.

If you change your mind in the future you can always enable or disable entities in the Entities settings.

Once you've added your integration, we will automatically start importing all required data from your accounting provider in the background.

The initial import might take a while depending on the amount of data.

Data synchronisation​

Monitr will get data from your accounts, analytical accounts and general ledger each night. This way your dashboard will always give you an up to date view on your accounts. The data will be updated from the last actuals date that you can set in the Entities settings. If data prior to the last actuals needs to be updated, change the last actuals to an earlier date, the data will refresh overnight. Set your last actuals to the correct date, after the data has been refreshed.

In addition, you can sync your data manually by clicking the button in the Entities settings.
